 genous Archaeologies have worked diligently  to tell the story of the Blac
 khawk collection, which consists of over 400 archaeological and ethnograp
 hic objects acquired by John R. Cressy during the early twentieth century 
 as part of his Toronto-based business called the Blackhawk Indian Remedy C
 ompany.The objects and labels displayed are informed by a critical approac
 h, which seeks to bring to light the complicated history of twentieth cen
 tury anthropological collecting practices. Throughout their displays, stu
 dents have worked to challenge standard museum display conventions and inc
 orporate Indigenous voices, theoretical perspectives, and critiques.We h
 ope you will join us for this exciting student exhibition on Wednesday Dec
 ember 7th, 2022.Student presentations and Q&A will run from 2:10PM-3:30PM
