 te Student Symposium (formerly known as the Medusa Lecture Series) is an a
 nnual event hosted by the Anthropology Graduate Student Union at the Unive
 rsity of Toronto, St. George campus, since 2011. Medusa is a forum for g
 raduate students to present paper or reviews of their research and is inte
 nded to provide both internal and external students with early-career conf
 erence and networking experience in a collegial and interdisciplinary envi
 ronment. Generally, participants come from universities across eastern Ca
 nada and the United States, with many presenting their research for the f
 irst time.Medusa is an important plank of the AGSU’s mandate, and marks a
  highly anticipated event in the calendars of graduate students in our dep
 artment and across the University of Toronto. This event attractes anthrop
 ologists from every sub-discipline across the University of Toronto, as w
