Biography

Sandalia Genus, PhD, is a Research Coordinator in the Department of Psychiatry at Mount Sinai Hospital. She has a PhD in Anthropology from University of Edinburgh, with background in vaccines and global health. She is currently evaluating a clinical and educational intervention in HIV psychiatrythat bridges community AIDS Service Organizations and hospital-based HIV mental health care, while improving education about complex populations with HIV, mental illness, and substance use disorders. This research is supported by an Ontario HIV Treatment Network Endgame Emerging Issues grant.
