Please join the Ethnography Lab for theupcoming Methods Café, “Ethnography In and Of the Archive,” featuring Professor Natalie Rothman

Date/Time: March 8, 2022, 12 -1 pm ET
Location: Zoom

This session will consider what ethnography can bring to the study of archives, and what archives can bring to ethnographic study. Taking as a starting point Rothman’s research into the trans-imperial circulation of textual practices, practitioners, and artifacts across chanceries in seventeenth-century Istanbul, much of the session will be devoted to questions that emerge from participants’ own field sites and areas of interest.
