Jan Lim Wins Richard B. Lee Award

Congratulations to Jan Lim on being the recipient of the Richard B. Lee award for the most outstanding student essay in critical anthropology!

Jan's essay entitled, 'Conceptual Metaphor Theory and Embodied Realism: How Metaphors from Computationalism Research Shape Media Discourse About Human Cognition, Personal Development & Success', was completed during her final year in Professor Hy Van Luong's class ANT425H.

Jan is currently a Master's student at the University of British Columbia studying socio-cultural anthropology with a focus on medical anthropology. She wishes to especially thank her undergraduate Professors Hy Van Luong, Krista Maxwell and Holly Wardlow for their support!
